Resource Recommendation: The AATA Blog!

In addition to posting on this blog, I’m also a member of the blog team for the American Association of Teachers of Arabic. The AATA blog focuses on applying research in the Arabic classroom, from a variety of perspectives, and publishes an article every other month in Arabic.

Today, one of my articles is being published, so I thought I’d share that as my post here today as well for any Arabic-speaking readers. I’m writing about applying genre-based pedagogies in the classroom, and particularly how to get students to analyze and repurpose the stages and useful language in a text. Be sure to check out the other articles as well!

If you don’t know Arabic, check out this post from my archives which describes a similar process.

What are your strategies for applying research in the classroom? Have you tried applying genre-based pedagogies at lower levels?
